Mill Stream Barn Holiday Cottages comprises two delightful holiday cottages - one with accommodation for up to 4, the other with accommodation for 2 - in a particularly picturesque spot just outside the Lincolnshire Wolds village of Donington on Bain, complete with mill pond and willow coppice, and with fantastic views across the Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. Both barns have been awarded 5* Gold and 4* Gold standard by Visit England.
The holiday cottages, near the town of Louth, are the result of a very sympathetic renovation and conversion in 2013 and 2017 of two agricultural barns: Mill Stream Barn (sleeps 4), set by a chalk stream on the site of an ancient water mill, and The Milking Parlour (sleeps 2), a spacious converted barn overlooking the mill pond. Both cottages have been equipped, decorated and furnished to provide a luxurious place to stay for your holiday in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The location of the Mill Stream Barn cottages in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds makes it an ideal base to tour the area. The traditional seaside towns of Skegness, Cleethorpes and Sutton on Sea are only half an hour away. The Lincolnshire Coast is also renowned for its wide open spaces, beaches, nature and seal reserves, such as Donna Nook and Gibraltar Point.
The Viking Way walk runs just past the barn, but you can also head off in other directions and find some special corners of the Lincolnshire countryside very close by.
