The Milking Parlour
The Milking Parlour stands in its own grounds with separate access to the accommodation. It has views over the Mill Pond to the fields and willow coppice behind.
The Milking Parlour has not been used for agricultural purposes for some time but was originally divided into two separate barns. A smaller barn provided a stable for the small holding’s horse and the larger barn was a milking parlour for the farm's eight milking cows. The next door neighbour fondly remembers milking these cows before school in the 1950s.
The barn has been sympathetically renovated in 2017 to provide luxurious accommodation for up to two people.
A Luxury Hypnos mattress, duvets from Snuggledown of Norway and 100% cotton bedlinen will ensure a restful night's sleep. Fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries have all been provided to enhance the relaxing experience.
The accommodation comprises a hall leading to a spacious open plan kitchen and sitting room. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a dining area. Both the kitchen and the sitting room have uninterrupted views of the River Bain and the land beyond. The Milking Parlour benefits from a limestone floor which has underfloor heating to provide a comfortable constant heat.
All the accommodation is on one single floor and the double bedroom has bathroom facilities adjacent. The bathroom has a freestanding bath as well as a walk in shower, providing easy access for guests with restricted mobility.
